A young man has tried to snatch women’s purses over the last month in the West Loop, according to police.

In each of the two robberies, a man about 15 years old approaches female victims as they walk alone and tries to take their purse, Chicago police said. He was successful during one of the attempts.

The robberies happened about 11:30 a.m. May 31 in the first block of North Halsted Street, and about 11:10 a.m. May 8 in the 700 block of West Madison Street, police said.
