Man killed in Alsip shooting

A man was killed in a shooting early Thursday in south suburban Alsip.

Isaac Alexander, 29, was shot about 2:10 a.m. in the 12200 block of South Avers Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He was pronounced dead less than an hour later.

An autopsy found he died of a multiple gunshot wounds, and ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said. Alexander lived in the same block where he was shot.

Alsip police did not immediately reply to requests for comment.
