A 50-year-old man was killed in a shooting last week in northwest Indiana.

Scott Stewart was shot about noon Jan. 18 in the 2500 block of Calhoun Street in Gary, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Autopsy results released Thursday found he died of a gunshot wound to the head, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide. He lived in Gary.

Gary police did not immediately respond to a request for details on the shooting.
