A man who was wounded in a shooting over the summer in suburban Markham has died from his injuries.

Zavion Sellers, 19, was pronounced dead at 3:33 a.m. Monday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was shot in the head about 7:25 p.m. July 5 in the 15300 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Markham, the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy found he died of complications from his gunshot wound and ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Harvey.

Markham police did not immediately respond to a request for details.
