Teen shot in Englewood

A 17-year-old boy was standing on the sidewalk in the 6900 block of South Lafayette Avenue when he was shot in the leg and arm, police said.

Two people were shot, one fatally, July 24, 2021, in Gage Park.

A 17-year-old boy was shot Friday in Englewood on the South Side.

He was standing on the sidewalk about 9:47 p.m. in the 6900 block of South Lafayette Avenue when someone unleashed gunfire from a black sedan, Chicago police said.

The teen was struck in the leg and arm, police said. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition.

No arrests have been reported. Area One detectives are investigating.
