2 teens shot in Chatham

A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were shot while walking in the first block of West 79th Street.

Three people were hurt in a shooting August 30, 2021, in Fifth City on the West Side.

Two teens were shot April 6, 2021, in Chatham.

Two teenagers were shot Tuesday in Chatham on the South Side.

A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were walking on a sidewalk about 6:15 p.m. in the first block of West 79th Street when someone shot them, Chicago police said.

Both teens were struck in the right leg, police said.

The girl was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where her condition was stabilized, police said.

The man brought himself to St. Bernard Hospital where his condition was also stabilized, police said.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
