A man was shot and killed Wednesday evening in South Chicago on the South Side.

About 7:10 p.m., Kevin Deon Black, 29, was shot multiple times in the body in the 8700 block of South Escanaba Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No one was in custody.
