Chicago’s Spring Awakening 2016 music festival is moving from Soldier Field to Jackson Park, 6401 S. Stoney Island, it was confirmed today by Chicago Park District director of communications Jessica Maxey-Faulkner.

The festival will run June 10-12 in in the historic park and feature six stages, including two main stages featuring both live electronic acts and world-renowned DJs. The lineup for the festival has not yet been announced. In addition to the music, the fest will feature interactive art installations, firework displays and carnival rides, including a Ferris wheel in homage to the Chicago Columbian Exposition of 1893 held on the massive park acreage.

Limited discounted pre-sale tickets are now on sale at springawakeningfestival.com; layaway plans are also available. More than 40,00o people attended the 3-day EM/house festival last year.

Spring Awakening had been held at Soldier Field each year in June since 2012.

The move was necessary due to the Copa 100 massive international soccer tournament, taking place June 3-26, at Soldier Field.
