Radio waves: Ken Gortowski on words, images & outdoors (UPDATED)

SHARE Radio waves: Ken Gortowski on words, images & outdoors (UPDATED)

Ken Gortowski talks about his strange journey toward no-holds barred conservation efforts, and how he came to combine words, images and conservation, this afternoon on “Outside.” (UPDATED the link for Water Dog Journal.)

Stray Casts readers and others will know he is one of my favorite bloggers on the outdoors. He often has appeared in posts called “Ramble with Gortowski.”

A wider audience also appreciates his efforts and skills. ChicagoNow awarded him one of their blogger of the month awards this summer. I think his most complete selection of his work is at his Water Dog Journal (UPDATED. Had a brain cramp and put in the old link originally).

“Outside” airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee. Rebroadcasts of the show are at 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Laurel Soper, the web tech and digital media person for KCC, has put together the podcast system here.
