Man shot in Austin

A man walked into a hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the arm in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 28-year-old was shot about 3 a.m. near the intersection of Van Buren Street and Lotus Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer, citing preliminary information.

The man is in “stable” condition at Loretto Hospital, Greer added.

No one is in custody as Area North investigates.
