Man shot in Austin

A man was shot Friday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 26-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg about 11:15 p.m. in the 5100 block of West Wabansia Avenue, said police News Affairs Office Ron Gaines.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Gaines said.
