A woman was found dead Sunday morning inside a vehicle in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

Officers responding to a call of an unresponsive person found the 38-year-old inside a vehicle parked in the 5200 block of West Thomas, police said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the fatality, but did not release additional details.

Area North detectives are conducting a death investigation.
