UPDATE: Parade route doubled | Rahm responds to ctitics
It didn’t take long for tickets to Thursday’s Blackhawks rally to start appearing for sale on sites like craigslist.
The event, a celebration being held in Soldier Field and requiring tickets obtained for free through Ticketmaster, sold out in minutes. Numerous complaints on social media pointed out freezes and delays.
TO THE PENALTY BOX Blackhawks fans have killed Ticketmaster
There are only about 60,000 seats available for an event that has brought millions into Chicago streets in 2010 and 2013.
A pack of four of the free tickets was being offered for $100 on craigslist, a price that seemed to be the median of the packages being offered so far.
The prices on tickets varied widely – as did the promised delivery times.
I knew this was coming. It's sad that some people are taking advantage of a FREE event for @nhlblackhawks fans. pic.twitter.com/4yvLviPBeJ

@Suntimes Yes. Ticketmaster is killing me. It's been saying my wait time is 1 min, for the last 30 minutes. And I just heard they sold out?

@Suntimes Wonder how many rally tics actually went to real fans...How many went to corp, city insiders, etc.
