Long-term lane closures on Busse Road in and temporary overnight lane closures on Oakton Street are scheduled to begin next week in northwest suburban Elk Grove Village to rebuild the bridges carrying I-90 traffic over the roads.

Lane closures on Busse Road will begin Feb. 29 and last through the spring for bridge construction, according to a statement from the Illinois Tollway. One lane in both directions will be closed.

Temporary overnight closures on Oakton Street are also scheduled between March 1 and March 3 to install new bridge beams, the tollway said. One lane in both directions is scheduled to close at 6 p.m. and full closures, lasting 15 minutes each, are scheduled between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. with all lanes reopening by 6 a.m.

The construction is part of the I-90 Rebuilding and Widening Project.
