Joycelyn Savage, one of R. Kelly’s girlfriends, pleaded not guilty to domestic battery Thursday after she was accused of attacking the singer’s other girlfriend in their condo a day earlier, court records show.

Savage, 24, turned herself into police Wednesday — Kelly’s 53rd birthday — after she was alleged to have attacked Kelly’s other girlfriend, 22-year-old Azriel Clary, in the condo the three shared on the 48th floor of Trump Tower.

Savage pleaded not guilty to one count of misdemeanor domestic battery causing bodily harm, court records show. Her bail was set at $2,000, and she was scheduled to return to court Feb. 6.

In a series of videos posted to Instagram Wednesday afternoon, Clary could be seen angrily confronting Savage in the condo before a scuffle broke out between the two. Chicago Police officers responded and the 22-year-old was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in good condition.

Clary said several times she wanted charges filed against Savage for the alleged attack and court records show she signed a criminal complaint against her. Clary also accused Savage of other criminal conduct.

In one video, Clary can be seen talking with police officers, who were called to the skyscraper about 2:10 p.m. for a report of a battery in progress, according to a department spokesman.

Clary told them she was in the unit with a few other people when Savage and another woman — a “handler” for Kelly — arrived to pick up Kelly’s “awards and his Grammys and stuff.”

“After that, she started saying that I’m so wrong about this and that,” the 22-year-old said, adding Savage soon after “started attacking me.”

“She came to me and attacked me and I had to defend myself,” the 22-year-old told police, alleging Savage hit her with her hands and her phone and tried to kick her, as well.

Kelly remains held without bail at the Metropolitan Correctional Center downtown while he faces a litany of criminal charges in four jurisdictions in three states.
