A man shot to death Thursday in Gresham on the South Side.

The 32-year-old was found in a backyard in the 7900 block of South Paulina Street, Chicago police said.

The man, identified as Carey Faulkner, had two gunshot wounds to the chest and one to the head, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was pronounced dead on the scene at 10:34 p.m., authorities said.

Police said that no witnesses have come forward in the case. Detectives recovered a weapon from the scene, police said.

Area South detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
