A 23-year-old man was shot Saturday evening in the Homan Square neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened at 7:37 p.m. in the 3500 block of West Polk, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. The man refused to tell police details about the incident.
