WEEKEND GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

SATURDAY, MAY 4, 2013 AND SUNDAY, MAY 5, 2013

On Saturday, the President will attend a forum on Inclusive Economic Growth and Development hosted by INCAE, a Costa Rican business school, and the Inter-American Development Bank. While at the forum, the President will deliver remarks and take questions. Participants will be comprised of representatives from the private sector, civil society, and government officials from the United States and Central America. This event at Old Customs House is open press.

On Saturday afternoon, the President will depart San Jose, Costa Rica en route Washington, DC. The departure from Juan Santamaría International Airport will be open press.

On Saturday evening, the President will return to Washington, DC. The arrival on the South Lawn is open press.

On Sunday morning, the President will depart Washington, DC en route Columbus, Ohio. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at Rickenbacker International Airport are open press.

Later on Sunday, the President will deliver the commencement speech at The Ohio State University. The President’s remarks are open to pre-credentialed members of the media, but closed to the public. The credentialing deadline has passed.

On Sunday afternoon, the President will depart Columbus, Ohio en route Washington, DC. The departure from Rickenbacker International Airport and the arrival on South Lawn are open press.

Schedule for the Week of May 6, 2013

On Monday, the President will have meetings at the White House.

On Tuesday, the President will welcome President Park Geun-hye of the Republic of Korea to the White House. As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the U.S.-ROK alliance this year, President Park’s visit will highlight the growth, breadth, depth and strength of our alliance, our increased global cooperation, the deep economic ties between the United States and the Republic of Korea, and the strong bonds of friendship between the American and Korean people.

On Wednesday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

On Thursday, the President will travel to Austin, Texas for events on the economy. He will return to the White House in the evening.

On Friday, the President will have meetings at the White House.

On Saturday, the President and the Vice President will honor the 2013 National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) TOP COPS award winners at the White House.
