A man was shot Tuesday night in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 21-year-old heard gunshots and realized he was shot in his thumb about 6:25 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Paulina, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said.
