A restaurant delivery driver was shot and another was robbed Saturday night in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 28-year-old delivery driver was shot when a group of people approached him and announced a robbery about 9:10 p.m. in the 100 block of North Kildare, police said.

The man tried to run away, but someone opened fire and struck the man in the abdomen, police said. No items were taken and the man was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.

About 40 minutes earlier, at 8:35 p.m., a different delivery driver went to the same address to deliver food but was robbed at gunpoint instead, police said. He was not injured.

The three suspects are all men about 20 to 30 years of age.
