Bon Appetit today released its list of the “Hot Ten” best new restaurants in America, and Chicago’s Parachute Restaurant made the list.
Coming in at No. 5 on the list, Beverly Kim and Johnny Clark’s Parachute Restaurant was cited for its innovative and global approach to Korean-American fare. Among the praises heaped on the 40-seat Avondale eatery:
Parachute’s crispy, greasy-in-just-the-right-way, pancake-like bread, loaded with potato, bacon, and scallion and served with sour-cream butter for slathering, was easily the most addictive thing I ate all year.
