Police are warning residents about a series of robberies reported over the past two weeks in the Archer Heights and West Elsdon neighborhoods on the Southwest Side.

In each of the reported incidents, three men have approached victims from behind before demanding or forcibly taking their property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The robberies occurred:

  • In the 5200 block of South Pulaski about 6:30 p.m. Aug. 23;
  • In the 5200 block of South Keeler about 6:20 a.m. Sept. 4;
  • In the 5100 block of South Pulaski about 3 p.m. Sept. 4.

All three of the suspects are described as men between 19 and 21 years old, according to police. One stands between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7, weighs 140 to 150 pounds and has black hair. The second also has black hair, weighs 140 to 200 pounds and is between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-10. The third man is about 6-foot-5.
