A 16-year-old boy was arrested after admitting to playing a role in a graffiti case in Buffalo Grove parks.

A Lincolnshire Police Department School Resource Officer at Stevenson High School obtained information about the case leading to the arrest, according to a statement from the Buffalo Grove Police Department.

The boys’ parents voluntarily brought him to the Buffalo Grove Police Station, police said. Investigators are working with the Lake County State Attorney’s office on filing charges.

Police and park district officials are working to identify and remove any remaining graffiti in Buffalo Grove parks.
