Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Lana Del Rey, LCD Sound System, Disclosure, Future, Major Lazer, Ellie Goulding, Leon Bridges, Kurt Vile & The Violators and Chris Stapleton are among the performers slated for this summer’s 25th anniversary edition of Lollapalooza, it was announced at 6 a.m. today.
Single-day, general admission tickets $120, and one-day VIP passes, ($650), will go on sale today (March 23) at 10 a.m. at lollapalooza.com for the festival running July 28-31 in Grant Park. Four-day passes sold out Tuesday in less than an hour. As in years past, kids 10 and under will be admitted free of charge with a ticket-holding adult.
More than 170 bands will be featured on eight stages. Among the festival’s highlights once again are the legendary Kidzapalooza tent/stage and the North and South end Chow Town food/beverage midways featuring the best in local eats.
If you’re looking for what some may call the ultimate Lolla experience, four-day VIP passes ($2,200 each) and four-day platinum passes ($4,200 each) are still available at the fest’s website. Among the perks for these pricey passes are golf cart transportation, air-conditioned lounges and catered food.
The complete lineup (see poster) can be found at lollapalooza.com. Festival hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. The performance schedule for the four-day fest will be announced at a later date. Day-by-day schedules follow below.
