A 16-year-old boy was shot Tuesday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The boy was standing on the sidewalk in the 3400 block of West Iowa at 7:10 p.m. when he heard shots fired by someone in a black vehicle driving by, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the abdomen and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

About two hours earlier, two men were shot less than a mile west.
