(NAPERVILLE) A Naperville woman was seriously hurt in a Route 59 crash on Tuesday afternoon in the western suburb.

The two-car collision happened at 4:22 p.m. at the intersection of Route 59 and Leverenz Road, according to a statement from Naperville police.

A 65-year-old Naperville woman was driving a silver 2000 Acura west on Leverenz when a gray 2005 Scion heading south on Route 59 hit her car, police said.

She was seriously injured and taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville, police said.

The 26-year-old Plainfield man driving the Scion was not injured, police said. Neither driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
