A 17-year-old boy was shot in the South Side Roseland neighborhood Friday night.

The teen was riding in the back seat of a car traveling south at 8:59 p.m. on South Perry Avenue near 115th Street when he heard the shot and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the right side of his back and was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was stabilized, police said.
