A day after falling just short to Final Four favorite North Carolina, the Northwestern Wildcats returned to their winning ways Tuesday night against Missouri.

The Wildcats improved their record to 4-1 on the season after winning 67-62 in the second of their two games in Kansas City for the CBE Classic. It was Tre Demps and Bryant McIntosh leading the way for Northwestern with 13-points each.

It wasn’t the prettiest game in the world for Northwestern. They failed to score from the field in the final five and a half minutes. However tough defense and made free throws prevented Missouri from ever getting closer than three points.

Northwestern split their two games at the CBS Classic after losing to North Carolina Monday night. They will be back on the court Saturday against the University of New Orleans.
