Man wounded in Pilsen shooting

A 29-year-old man was wounded in a Pilsen neighborhood shooting early Sunday on the Lower West Side.

He was outside about 1:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Blue Island when someone walked up and shot him in the left leg, according to Chicago Police.

The man took himself to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
