Man shot in Chatham

A man was shot Wednesday morning in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened at 11:17 a.m. in the 8300 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, according to Chicago Police.

The 26-year-old was shot in the torso and arm, and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member.
