A 20-year-old man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Tuesday evening in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side, according to Chicago Police.

The man shot himself in the head at 5:36 p.m. in the 6900 block of South South Shore Drive, police said.

An autopsy Wednesday also ruled the death a suicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
