A bank was robbed Wednesday afternoon in the Southwest Side Archer Heights neighborhood.

Just before 12:30 p.m., the First American Bank branch at 4501 S. Pulaski was robbed, according to FBI spokesman Garrett Croon.

The suspect in the non-takeover robbery was described as a 5-foot-10 to 5-foot-11 male Hispanic with a tattoo on the right side of his neck, the FBI said. He was wearing a blue flat-billed hat, a light-colored button-down shirt and a white towel on his shoulder.

He didn’t show a weapon during the robbery, authorities said.

Anyone with information was asked to call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
