2 shot in Austin

Two people were shot early Sunday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

Someone fired shots from a vehicle that approached the two people at 4:32 a.m. in the 900 block of North Central, according to Chicago Police.

A 23-year-old man and 34-year-old woman both in serious condition with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. The man was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, and the woman was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
