A 14-year-old boy was fatally shot early Saturday in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood.

About 3 a.m., Lucian Lamarion Devious Paige was walking on a sidewalk in the 5600 block of South Wabash Avenue when someone in a passing car shot at him, Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Paige was struck multiple times in his body, and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he died hours later, authorities said.

Area Central detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
