A man was shot and seriously wounded Tuesday evening in the South Side Roseland neighborhood.

The 25-year-old was standing about 6:45 p.m. in the 10700 block of South Lowe when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been struck in the arm, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
