Moon Alert

After 8:30 a.m. Chicago time, there are no restrictions to shopping or important decisions. The Moon is in Scorpio.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This month Mars makes you identify with what you own. In fact, you might think that you’re a better person if you have wealth. Or vice versa, you might think that you are “less” if you don’t. We all know that you are not your bank account — you are your car.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

It’s a busy time! Lots of activity! You have energy and are more of a fighter for your rights than usual. Fortunately, your physical energy is high, which means you can get a lot done, which you intend to do! It’s a positive time.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Things might be frustrating because it’s hard to get the credit that you deserve for what you do. This could be why you feel vaguely irritable or frustrated. Ironically, if you try to assert yourself, it doesn’t work. (Chill out this influence is gone in a few weeks.)

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This is a good time to formulate goals and start to pursue them. It’s also a good time to work in conjunction with others to get things done. In part, you might feel competitive. Nevertheless, physical activity with others (including athletics) will spur you on!

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Your ambition is aroused, which is why you want to get things done! This is good. However, this can put you in conflict with authority figures and coworkers who might be threatened by your ambitious energy. (Oops.)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is an excellent time to do creative, intellectual work. In fact, you might find yourself defending your beliefs about something. You’re certainly keen to put more energy into expanding your mind and learning new dimensions of philosophy and history. (Heady stuff.)

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You might encounter someone who has a powerful influence on you — enough to make you want to change. Or you might meet someone and see that you have different values. This is a time when some people are at odds about how to handle money or jointly held property. Easy does it.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You have to be patient with those who are closest to you because with Mars opposite your sign, it’s easy to be annoyed with them. (Of course, they are annoying.) But what does it gain you to show your frustration? This influence will be gone by next month. Stay chill.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You’re keen to work hard now, which is a good thing. However, you might be so driven to achieve, that you’re too bossy with others and busy delegating to them. (Well, this will go over like a lead balloon.) Avoid conflict with others, especially about who gets credit.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This month you are pumped to have fun! You want to play! You want to enjoy sports. You want to enjoy the arts and amusing diversions. Admittedly, parents might find kids a bit challenging. The bottom line is you want to do your own thing and enjoy yourself.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Increased activity and chaos on the home front are likely at this time. For some reason, there is more going on where you live! Naturally, this can trigger domestic strife and tension. (Especially with parents.) This influence will last for the rest of the month so be patient.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

You’re busy! The pace of your days is accelerating because your schedule is packed with short trips, appointments, errands plus increased reading, writing and studying. Keep up your busy pace. Go, go, go!

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Nathan Lane (1956) shares your birthday. You’re compassionate, artistic, full of energy and a true giver of life. You have an amazing imagination! Because you are now entering a new cycle, it means it’s time to define some goals to determine what you want for yourself in the next few years. Be confident and physically energetic about going after what you want. Just do it!
