A man was fatally shot Monday in west suburban Hanover Park.

Officers responded to a home about 10 p.m. in the 5500 block of Pebble Beach and found Mickyle Fossett, 19, with multiple gunshot wounds, Hanover Park police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was pronounced dead at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates less than an hour later, authorities said.

Autopsy results released Tuesday found Fossett, of Hanover Park, died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.

Fossett, known to his family as “RayRay,” was the fifth-oldest of eight siblings who looked up to him, according to a GoFundMe organized by his older sister, who described him as “outgoing” and “hard headed.”

Hanover Park Police and the Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigation Team are investigating.
