Man fatally shot at Harvey tire shop

Mohammad Hussain was found with a gunshot wound to his head at Tires R Us on Halsted Street.

Authorities say a man was fatally shot Oct. 27, 2020, at Tires R Us, 16950 S. Halsted St. in Harvey.

A 47-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday evening at a tire shop in Harvey in the south suburbs.

Mohammad Hussain was found with a gunshot wound to his head about 6 p.m. at Tires R Us, 16950 S. Halsted St., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The Oak Lawn man was pronounced dead at 9:39 p.m. that night.

Autopsy results released Wednesday ruled Hussain’s death a homicide.

The Harvey Police Department, which is investigating the shooting, did not immediately reply to a request for details.

On Sunday, 23-year-old Michael Medina was killed in a separate shooting at 156th Street and Dixie Highway in Harvey, the medical examiner’s office said.
