Man, 35, fatally shot in Maywood

A 35-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday in west suburban Maywood.

Herbert Green was shot multiple times about 7:08 p.m. in the 1800 block of Saint Charles Road, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead a little over an hour later at Loyola University Medical Center.

Autopsy results released Tuesday found Green, of Maywood, died from his gunshot wounds, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

Maywood police didn’t immediately respond to a request for details.
