SEEN ON THE SCENE: Michael Beach (“Insidious: Chapter 2”) and Eriq La Salle (“ER”) escaped from our bitter cold at Harry Caray’s on Kinzie — happily posing with the iconic “Harry” statue. … The L.A. Clippers’ Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Matt Barnes, Jared Dudley and Darius Morris slipped into Mercadito, while in town to play the Bulls. … Patrick Flueger and Jesse Soffer — here filming “Chicago PD” — were spied sipping a few beers and sharing appetizers and barbeque chicken at Jake Melnick’s Corner Tap over the weekend.

In 1930, a 15-year-old Harry Caray was living in St. Louis when the city hosted an aircraft exhibition honoring aviator Charles Lindbergh. “The ‘first ever’ cow to fly in an airplane was introduced at the exhibition,” said Grant DePorter, Harry Caray restaurants manager. “She became the most famous cow in the world at the time and is still listed among the most famous bovines along with Mrs. O’Leary’s cow and ‘Elsie the cow.’”
