Man shot in Austin

A man was shot in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side early Sunday.

The 23-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle about 3:15 a.m. in the 600 block of South Central when two males approached on foot and began shooting, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left hand and left leg, police said. He took himself to Loretto Hospital where his condition stabilized.
