Parts of Wacker Drive will be closed for bridge repairs again near Lake Shore Drive starting Tuesday.

The westbound ramp from intermediate Wacker/Lake Shore Drive to Upper Wacker will shut down after Tuesday’s morning rush hour for ongoing pin and link structural repairs, according to a statement from the Chicago Department of Transportation. The work has already begun, but the ramp was temporarily reopened for traffic from the NFL Draft.

The ramp is expected to be closed for six weeks, according to CDOT.

The detour will direct traffic from westbound Wacker to Columbus, South Water Street, Wabash and Upper Wacker, according to CDOT. Drivers coming from Lake Shore are encouraged to use Grand or Randolph as westbound alternatives.
