Working the Story is a video series that explains how Sun-Times reporters do their work reporting, sourcing, and investigating our biggest stories.

At one time, reporters tagged along with candidates routinely in the final stretch of the campaign and reported what they said on the trail. For many reasons veteran Sun-Times political reporters Lynn Sweet and Mark Brown explain, those days are long gone.
