It’s Sunday night football on the Disney Channel.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and NFL hall of famer Dick Butkus drop by for guest roles in the network’s freshman comedy, “I Didn’t Do It,” airing at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Evanston-set sitcom (filmed in Los Angeles) centers on five teenage friends with a penchant for chaos. The flashback-heavy series co-stars local actress and singer Piper Curda, 17, of Wilmette.

Sunday’s installment, titled “Ball or Nothing,” finds fraternal twins Lindy (Olivia Holt) and Logan (Austin North) on a hunt for Butkus after they accidentally destroy their father’s football, autographed by the Bears’ legendary linebacker.

Spoiler alert: Jeffery makes quite a catch in the episode.

One of Disney Channel’s top-rated shows among tween viewers, “I Didn’t Do It” debuted in January and has been renewed for a second season.
