A 31-year-old woman was killed in a crash early Saturday in north suburban Gurnee.

Hannah Kennedy was driving on Route 41 near Washington Street about 1:30 a.m. when her vehicle crossed the center line into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle head-on, according to Gurnee police and the Lake County coroner’s office.

Kennedy, of Zion, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The other driver, a 44-year-old South Holland man, was extricated from his vehicle and taken to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with significant injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation Monday, according to Gurnee police.
