A boy was shot Friday evening in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

At 6:13 p.m., the 16-year-old boy was inside a home with two other people in the 1500 block of South Kedzie when a gunshot was heard and the boy was shot in the face, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
