A 30-year-old California man died after falling from the roof of a building in Lincoln Park Saturday afternoon on the North Side.

About 2:45 p.m., Peter Kaldas fell from the three-story building in the 2100 block of North Halsted, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Kaldas was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he died at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, authorities said. He was from Diamond Bar, California.

An autopsy Sunday found Kaldas died of multiple injuries from the fall. His death was ruled an accident.

Area North detectives are conducting a death investigation.
