Two people were shot at an Austin neighborhood gas station late Friday on the West Side.

About 9:45 p.m., the 23-year-old man and 24-year-old woman were sitting inside a car at the station in the 300 block of South Cicero when a black SUV pulled alongside them and someone inside it started firing, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the chest and taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, along with the woman, who was in good condition with a leg wound, police said.
