The Cubs’ magical, turn-around season seems to get more fantastical each game. With the team drained from a wild week and notching a postseason berth, outfielder Chris Denorfia summoned a little power to lift the Cubs over the Royals Monday night.
Denorfia turned on the first pitch from Royals reliever Miguel Almonte and smacked it into the left-field bleacher for the Cubs’ major league-leading 13th walk-off victory of the season.

It was Denorfia’s third homer of the season. After the game, he tried to give a decent interview, but it appears he knew his teammates wouldn’t let him.
@BarstoolBigCat The joy of this Denorfia smile/laugh is = to a 10-year-old who just got his first hit. #playoffRoster pic.twitter.com/Ud69StwM1J
