The Bulls aren’t playing in Tuesday night, but Derrick Rose is still hanging out on the United Center floor. The former Memphis point guard took some time out of his off day to hang out with his former coach.
John Calipari, who coached Rose at Memphis, has his Kentucky team playing in Chicago as part of the Champions Classic at the United Center. With the Wildcats practicing on the court, Rose came by.

Throughout his career, Calipari has always been able to bring in some of the top recruits across the country. Much of that is thanks to his players repeatedly reaching the NBA. Having Rose not only reach the NBA but with the success he’s had can only help. Watching Rose play has convinced at least one of the top recruits in the country from last season to play for Kentucky.
Rose left Monday’s game early with a sprained ankle, however he doesn’t appear to be wearing a boot Tuesday. He’s questionable as the team heads out on their circus road trip, starting Wednesday in Phoenix.
